Climate: With the exception of the North West of New South Wales, much of the state enjoys a fairly even temperature. In towns such as Bourke, summer temperatures often reach the high 30ºC's while the alpine areas of the Kosciusko skifields experience temperatures below 0ºC in winter. The state's average yearly temperatures range from 13ºC to 22ºC.
